Small Businesses are the key to rebuilding our economy. Small businesses employ the majority of Americans yet are taxed and hurt by government without much regret. Several recent actions of our government are having far-reaching effects on the ever important small-business.
Congress recently passed a bill that raised taxes on small businesses to 39%. Furthermore Congress also raised the minimum wage. Due to the wage hike the number of unemployed teenagers has jumped, and the heightened taxes won't help. That's not all-Congress and the President haven't taken a stand on taxing small businesses because the President is pushing to give a rebate to the same businesses he raised taxes on.
Small businesses provide for 75-80% of all jobs in the United States. To have a vibrant, growing economy you have to support the small businesses in America because they are what fuel growth and drive innovation. Everything that the administration has done so far (stimulus) hasn't worked, it might, but it hasn't so far, they must change their strategy to better our economy.
If we want a stable, growing economy we can't continue to hurt and punish those who create jobs. That's a simple concept, and you'd think those in Washington could grasp it.
